Creating shortcuts

Sun Dec 30, 2018 7:34 pm
Hi folks,

In other file managers I've used there's an option to right click on a file and create a link to it, which appears in the same folder. Is there an option to enable something like this in Dolphin? I can see an option to create a link by clicking on the Dolphin folder background, but it requires me manually entering more information which is clunky compared to what I'm used to.

Thanks

You can drag-and-drop the file into the same folder and one of the options is to create a link (you can hold ctrl+shift while drag-and-dropping to skip that dialog). It will then present you with a dialog for naming the new link.
