When I drag files into a folder, I'm presented with the option to either copy or move the files into the folder. Is there any way to have Dolphin move the files by default (or copy if the target is on a separate disc) without presenting the options?

You'll notice that the confirmation menu also lists a modifier key associated with each action. When you drag-and-drop holding that modifier it will perform that operation directly, skipping the confirmation.
