Greetings!
I have file previews enabled in lots of folders because I work a lot with images. Dolphin can display a preview of folder content on top of folder icons, which is generally something I want. However, in some cases I use custom icons for important folders, and for these folders I don't want previews placed on top, and hiding my custom icon. So is it possible to either: - disable the preview on every folder that has a custom icon? - manually disable the preview on a case by case basis? Note: My knowledge of KDE and Linux is limited, which is why I'm asking for your help here. Thank you in advance!

The KDE applications can show a thumbnail for a file/folder if there is a thumb creator plugin installed for the file (or folder) type. The KDE file managers, Dolphin & Konqueror, and the Plasma 5 Folder View widget are using as default the directorythumbnail plugin. The directorythumbnail plugin is slapping max four small icons over the folder icon. There are no settings. It is on or off for all in the same directory. You could: - file a wish to the KDE Bugtracking System: https://bugs.kde.org - use another plugin. Earlier: folder.jpg pics display in dolphin - viewtopic.php?f=224&t=156241 |

I see, thank you. I was looking into Keneric but ran into some issues. I'll try to solve them later when I have time. Until then, is there any other plugin someone may recommend for me to look at? Or is it only Keneric if I want customization?
