I was testing the installation of additional services for Dolphin. Even though they showed up as installed, they would not show up in the list of services. I found a workaround but I'd like to know if it's bugged or what.
Basically, clicking on install from the usual interface in Dolphinw here you search for services, downloads them to /home/mrk/.local/share/servicemenu-download/ and leave them there. I uncompressed the file there and got the .desktop file. I manually created a folder called kservices5 and placed the .desktop file in there, and after that, they show up in the list. From what I can tell, none works unless I do this bs every time. I think this may be a bug, what do you think? I found a bug report here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=405186 But I don't have any error message. Using latest KDE Neon (user) btw. |

I tested this on a brand new virtual machine, services are still not installing automatically. This has to be a bug with Dolphin, because it happens with every single service, I tried with random ones, newest ones, and so on. Can anyone install services properly from Dolphin? Maybe it's only an issue if you clean install the latest iso.
