Hey guys. I am trying to build the KDE application for the first time with intention to getting involved further in the project.
I am following the instructions to build Dolphin by reading the steps given in this page: https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/development I followed the same instructions as given there but, unfortunately, during build I see the log that the configration of dependencies are failing. For example:
It's the same for every dependency including Qt. (I have attached a log of other dependencies: https://pastebin.com/8nanj5Sv ) I tried to add --verbose to check for a detailed log, but that's where it was showing that configure was failing. I am not sure where I am going wrong. Does the user not have permission (like sudo) to build? Could you please help me point what the problem is? EDIT: Updated info in below comments

After seeing more log files, it looks like because Qt failed to setup correctly, the rest of the dependencies also failed as it requires:
Qt5Config.cmake qt5-config.cmake Qt log shows:- ERROR: The OpenGL functionality tests failed! You might need to modify the include and library search paths by editing QMAKE_INCDIR_OPENGL[_ES2], QMAKE_LIBDIR_OPENGL[_ES2] and QMAKE_LIBS_OPENGL[_ES2] in the mkspec for your platform. What are the include or search paths here? |

Got it through. Many external dependencies were missing.

Hey vin221 I'm in the same situation.
How did you determine which dependencies were missing? |
