You can change the size of the icons in the Places panel, but without modifying the source code it is currently not possible to modify the line spacing. What would be the use case for doing so?

when I use certain fonts, the items in the places-panel stand very close to each other - vertically seen. That looks unbalanced. But you are right: by making the icons bigger the problem is more or less solved.
Ideally seen I guess I would like to see that much items got not so much space in between and less items in the places panel more space between them (up to a certain maximum I guess). That way the space in the panel would be used in a more balanced way. And it would be more elegant to see.
But thank you very much for your answer!
