Hi,

Linux Mint 19 don't use KDE anymore, so for the first time, I have'nt got the entire KDE environnement. But I would like to use some KDE applications, especially Dolphin, that I really like. I have installed it, but I experience a small problem :

When I double-click on a file, I've got several choices (possible applications to open the file). It's not bad, but I would like a default application to open, without losing time to chose an application each time.
When I try to indicate which application to use as default for a specific kind of file, there's something unusual, that I don't understand.
I use "Open with" to be able to click on "by default" (or whatewer it is called in english, I don't know) and there's no list of application, just a menu with 3 entries : Settingsmenu, System, Utilities.
What should I do ?

Thank you very much for your help.

I am not familiar with the System Settings in Cinnamon, in Plasma you would set this up in the "Personalisation" section of the System Settings, where you can choose the default applications. Can't really help here, sorry, not my DE

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...
