I just installed Garuda Linux which is very similar to Manjaro. I went through the Dolphin settings and set everything up to my liking, then proceeded to to set the individual view settings for my folders. After setting a particular folder's individual view settings I would press F8 to hide the .directory file, but for some reason pressing F8 is not hiding the .directory file. Any idea on why this would be happening? Thanks

Looks like you had a custom shortcut in your previous distribution, as F8 is not a default shortcut used in Dolphin AFAIK, Alt+. (alternatively Ctrl+H) is the normal one to show and hide hidden files. You can always add an alternate to it to F8 if you want to.

OK F8 must of been something the Manjaro devs did, cause I actually found it by accident one day when I went to press F9 to hide the Place pane. As long as the function is still there I don't really don't care what key or keys I have to press. Thanks ever so much for the help, info, and quick reply, very much appreciated.
