I'm back to using KDE (which I've always loved) through MX Linux, and using Dolphin version 18.08.0. Under find, I cannot utilize the options listed under "more options" as they are all grayed out. I've restarted a couple times, verified baloo is installed. Not sure what else to try. Wildcards don't work at all it seems when I try to search for specific things. I am getting by with Kfind, but it'd be nice to use Dolphin.
FYI I'm a long-time Linux user, mostly for hobby but for the last few years as my general-purpose personal computing. That said, I'm still quite a novice when it comes to the command line, so if there is some easy way to fix this through command-line verification, I've not seen anything yet that would help me get to the bottom of this issue (and don't know any commands myself that would narrow down the issue). Thanks. |

are you sure Baloo is actually running? Which options are grayed out?
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |
