Hello,

on 5.8.18-1-MANJARO with XFCE 4.14 in Dolphin 20.08.2 i enabled MediaInfo service, but when i click to show media info for some video file, it does nothing.
I am wondering if i can supply you any particular output from any log file. I have no experience in log files and linux newbie.

Thank you

From the details section on this service menu's entry and https://store.kde.org/p/1418250, did you install the needed program mediainfo?

I thought it would install dependencies automatically. I have checked this and it seems to be installed, so this seems not to be the problem cause:

$ pamac info mediainfo
Name : mediainfo
Version : 20.08-1
Description : Supplies technical and tag information about a video or audio file (CLI interface)
URL : https://mediaarea.net/
Licenses : BSD
Repository : community
Installed Size : 85,2 kB
Depends On : libmediainfo
Packager : Johannes Löthberg <johannes@......com>
Build Date : 22.8.2020
Install Date : 19.10.2020
Install Reason : Explicitly installed

(libmediainfo installed too)

I am unhappy with the GUI application so i am trying to find some quick way to display copyable MediaInfo via GUI, i am surprised VLC and others does not supply coppyable media info.

No, Dolphin service menus and the like do not install distro-supplied dependency packages.

Anyway, it is working here for me, on KDE Neon, after I installed the missing deps. I see what you mean, the text and html output option look useful.
