I did have a good hunt through looking for something related to my question but couldn't find anything:

I have been moving some video files across the network using samba, but it seems some files that come across are a different color (greyed) to the normal blue. They do open and play fine in VLC, but when trying to add them to my media server app (Jellyfin), they do not appear and the logs show that they were not seen in the directory.

I confirmed permissions are all ok, and the files permission wise are identical between the two colors... Only difference is the greyed file is an MKV and the blue ones are MP4, but I have some MKV files that are blue, so I'm at a loss.

So kinda feel dumb, but if you look at the picture, and notice that the .MKV is missing from the filename - when it was renamed before transfer I inadvertently removed it. Adding it back in fixed the file.
