Hi Guys,
My apologies but I think I have may have posted this in the wrong section to begin with! Before I begin this is what I am running; Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20210210 KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5 Kernel Version: 5.10.12-1-default I also have 2 NAS drives formatted to BTRFS which mount on start up in the Fstab file. When I use Dolphin to MOVE a file or folder from the internal drive to a NAS folder it gives an error saying access or permission denied. I do not get this message if it is from the NAS to the internal drive, or between the folders on the NAS. To resolve this error I click retry several times and it actually does moves the item in the end. But note that if I want to just copy, it does it without any errors. UPDATE - I have just installed Krusader and Konqueror and I get the same error. Should I post this somewhere else> Any suggestions or help is appreciated in advance Thanks - Steve |

Your user does not have the proper permissions write to the file system.
This is a basic Linux ownership/permission feature, and not related to KDE/Plasma at all.

Thanks for the reply. Installed other Desktop Managers along side KDE using opensuse's YAST option (paterns). Just tried moving files and folders in Gnome, Nautilus and Nemo, and also in XFCE's Thunar. No problems, and will be sticking to Gnome. |
