Annoying behavior on "extract archive here" context menu

Hello
Some weeks ago I notice something annoying started happening when I extract compressed files using context menu options.
Initially, when I did this the archive would be extracted and nothing more would happen. But then, out of nowhere, it started opening the folder in which it had been extracted, as if "Open destination folder after extraction" was selected.
I don't know what made it start behave like this. It's so annoying having to close this second instance of same folder I was already in every time I have to use compressed files. Already tried to find how to change this but unfortunately I wasn't able to find anything related.
Can someone, please, illuminate me?

I'm on Kubuntu 21.10. Problem started with 21.04.

Kubuntu 22.04
KDE Plasma Version: 5.24.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.92.0
Qt Version: 5.15.3
Kernel Version: 5.15.0-39

Can't reproduce this behavior here, same Kubuntu version.
Assuming you use the default applications, meaning Dolphin and Ark: maybe check if you have something odd in the ~/.config/arkrc file?

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

I use Dolphin and Ark. Didn't see anything odd on arkrc config file, but deleted it anyway with no avail. Compress option acts like this to...

My machine (Kubuntu 21.10), it happens in desktop AND Dolphin: https://imgur.com/kVty6n2
In a Kubuntu 21.10 live image I can reproduce it in Desktop, but not in Dolphin. Same in virtual machine. Same in today's KDE Neon iso: https://imgur.com/nifu67U
In Kubuntu 20.04.3 it works as intented and no folder is opened.

Can't duplicate that. What does open the destination folder though, is when you do "compress to". Which is normal behaviour to me.

This realm's name is Maya. And she speaks Hertz. But Ahamkara makes a fuzz about it.

Hi there,
I've had the same issue for some time now with Ark opening a new window when used from the Dolphin context menu, even when re-installing a fresh Kubuntu 21.10. Deleting the ~/.config/arkrc file did not help, but deleting the ~./config/dolphinrc file removed that annoying behavior.
Sadly I did not retain the old file, but I seem to remember that it did not start with any [*tag here*] tag, but directly with parameters. Maybe those from the [MainWindow] parameter group, I seem to remember the long State=[...] line. Cannot confirm though.
