Is .hidden support implemented?

Can't seem to find a conclusive answer on this, is support for .hidden files implemented in Dolphin currently? As in, you create a text file called .hidden, enter some file names, and files in the folder alongside .hidden will be hidden without requiring you to add a . before their name.
I've found a few threads saying it was implemented, and one user I spoke with was actively using it. But the feature doesn't seem to work for me entirely. I've tried comma separating the file names, new lines, even variations of the name .hidden, .Hidden... etc.

For me with Dolphin 21.12.3 it does work as expected. I have listed some files newline separated and they are not showing up. Filesystem was ext4.

Well, I opened the file back up to take a screenshot to share, but as soon as I closed it half the files listed then hid themselves.
I removed the remaining entries and typed them back again, and then everything hid properly after I saved.

Absolutely no clue why it's suddenly working, but hey, at least it's working. Thanks.
