Why is there no "bookmarks" in Dolphin

"place" is not the same, I've set up bookmarks for use in other parts of KDE, why can't I access them in Dolphin?

OpenSuse Leap 42.1 x64, Plasma 5.x

There is a bug report at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171366

So places is meant to be a bookmark replacement. Maybe you could explain why places can't replace bookmarks completely directly on Bugzilla, so that Peter Penz will read it. ;)
