There is a problem with legacy encoding in KDE 4 that will not be fixed. There is several bug reports related but the most important is this one:
Dolphin can't handle well files/folders with wrong encoding http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=165044 When Thiago Maciera ended the discussion with "Frankly, I don't care. Tools generating broken-encoding filenames should be fixed." I created a new wish report: Dolphin-Konqueror plugin to solve encoding problem http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=204768 but, again is market as WONT FIX. I looking for a solution, better than using konsole or Konqueror 3, but I really don't know what must I do so suggestions are welcome ![]()

Yes you right but I promise that I received a notification mail with subject "[Bug 204768] Dolphin-Konqueror plugin to solve encoding problems marked as WONTFIX" and when I write this post bug was marked as WONTFIX.
If bug is alive then there is no problem.

English is not my language so I have the same problem and thank you so much. The weird thing is that I don't received a notification about status change and I'm the reporter of the bug ![]()

A request:
Could you use the "Solved-Button" in addition to the "[Solved]" in the title, please ![]() Did you ask the kde.bugs.org-Admins maybe? ![]() |
