Before anyone says this has been posted, don't its not the same question.
I'm running opensuse 11.2 and KDE 4.3.5 Dolphin's menubar has disappeared. I know about Control+M and right click, and all it does is move the entire windows 1px down. This is before control M ![]() And this is afterwards ![]() I've had this happen on suse 11.0 and 11.1 before too, and on everything fron KDE 4.0 to current. I've never found a solution for it. If you need any more information let me know. Thanks in advance. |

try moving the file ~/.kde4/share/config/dolphinrc out of the way to reset the settings of dolphin.
make sure no instance of dolphin is running at that moment.

Do you only see this problem in Dolphin? Have you tried to use e.g. xbar, a widget to get Mac OS X-like menubar shipped with Bespin?

Try removing $(kde4-config --localprefix)/share/apps/dolphin/dolphinui.rc if it exists.

Removing every trace of Xbar and restarting dolphin worked. I had deleted the dolphin config files too, so that bay have played some part in it.
