Hi folks!

I'm using dolphin 1.4 and have recently discovered the advantages of using split view. However, I can't figure out which is the criteria applied when closing it, how does dolphin choose which view is closed? When I think I've got the key, I unwillingly close a deeply nested directory :(

Thanks in advance for your answers!

(I've been googling for this topic and couldn't find an answer, not even the question... maybe I'm not using the right search terms?)

it closes the one with the focus

visually - if you have the split view" action icon on your toolbar (and you should) when split view is activated it will show a red minus sign Image on the side that will close
