I am running kubuntu 11.04 upgraded to 4.6.3 via the ppa. I am not sure what the feature is really called but in Dolphin when I try to find a file by typing the first few letters of the name the time delay to count the keystrokes as separate entries is too short.
For example, if I was searching for a folder called kde when I type kde at my normal speed it would count as 3 separate searches k then d then e. If I position my fingers over the three keys and type super fast I can just about get it too work as one search and correctly find the kde folder. It clearly has a time period after which it decides that the search is over and then starts again with new entries but this period is set to be much too short. Is there anyway of changing this? thanks

Try changing the settings in System Settings regarding the Keyboard. My guess is that the keyboard repeat delay could be a potential one it is following.
