I have KDE 4.5.5 currently. I'm trying to clean up a folder with a lot of files, my downloads for example. So I scroll down through the list to something I recognize, say a bunch of versions of firefox. I select and delete a few older ones and after the delete Dolphine of konqueror both take me back to the top of the folder list. So I have to scroll back down to where I was then I decide to make a subfolder for Firefox9 and it scrolls my up to the new folder with it selected so I have to scroll back down and find where I was before again. Then I mode the firefox9 download into the firefox 9 folder and I am once again scrolled to the top of the list so I have to go back down and find where I was again. This auto movement didn't used to be there, how can I turn it off?
Thanks

Did this auto-movement appear with an update or recently out of the blue?

I think its been that way since kde4.
Its making konq/dolphin almost unuseable as I have to try and keep track of where I was any time I do anything.

Supposedly fixed in KDE 4.8. I saw a similar problem and reported it almost a year ago, at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=267188

Ohh the stick selection one, I thought that was just my finger on the mouse.

The issue I see is if you scroll down to the middle of a folder then delete a file it will scroll you back to the top.
Or if you make a new folder it will take you to that folder. Its basically being too helpful there.
