Hi

I have published services over avahi. The problem is that dolphin not know https as Service.
Code: Select all
<?xml version="1.0" standalone='no'?>
<!DOCTYPE service-group SYSTEM "avahi-service.dtd">
<service-group>
  <name>My-Site</name> ## Name of the Bookmark
  <service>
    <type>_https._tcp</type>
    <port>8001</port>
    <txt-record>path=/</txt-record> ## Path
  </service>
</service-group>

Is there a way to fix the problem in Dolphin? The entry what i see with avahi-browse is ok.

Greetings

Can you please post a screenshot of the error message Dolphin gives? This should work - at the very least launching your preferred browser to view it.

I have checked the code of the network:/ KIO slave. It does not support the _https_._tcp type - likely due to a recommendation by the IANA that services which need https announce a http access method then redirect to https as needed.

? If you need to change something, simply announce the service over http:// and have that redirect to the appropriate https:// service.
