Hi, I got an issue with Dolphin and I can't figure out what's happening. Some files are opened with Chromium (the default web browser), even if they're associated with other application. For example, .cbp files should be opening with CodeBlocks, but they're opened with Chromium. Association settings looks to be ok:
![]() When using Konqueror, .cbp files are opened with CodeBlocks. When using kde-open or xdg-open, .cbp files are opened, again, with Chromium. What can be wrong? I'm using KDE 4.8 RC2 and Dolphin 2.0, on ArchLinux.

Solved by removing "BrowserApplication" line in ~/.kde4/share/config/kdeglobals

I removed "BrowserApplication" line in ~/.kde4/share/config/kdeglobals,
but dolphin still opens html-files in firefox instead of "kate", which is associated in KDE "System settings". |

Well, this is not really solved, as I tought. In fact, all you have to do is to go in System Settings -> Default applications -> Web browser and select the first option ("in an applicaton based on the contents of the URL"). But this is not really okay because in this way, when you click on a link in Kopete (for example), KDE will first check the content of the linked file by downloading it and after this check will send you to the link. That's pretty annoying, especially when you have to deal with slow servers.
I submitted a bug report about this: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=291177 |
