The last issue has now been fixed by David for KDE 4.10.2, see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=316016. Thanks again for providing step-by-step instructions to reproduce the issue!
If you find any other "failure to update view" bugs in KDE 4.10.2, please try to provide steps to reproduce, and we'll do our best to fix it. |

SAME PROBLEM HERE
I run Fedora KDE 64 bit, and am very happy with it, after having switched from Windows recently. I am however experiencing problems with Dolphin, which are quite annoying, given that the file explorer is an essential tool that one should be able to rely on. Here are my problems: On numerous occasions, I downloaded a file from the web, and it does not appear in the 'download' folder in my home directory. When I open a terminal, and check, I can see it clearly. Now, I just copied a directory of source code as a backup. Then I compressed the directory, and the new .zip file just does not appear in the directory. When I check with the terminal, it is clearly there, albeit in red color - (I'm still not sure what the red color actually means) Having read some previous posts, I now realize that I can refresh with F5 which I suppose is a solution - but only for those who know about it! This is all FYI . Otherwise I appreciate the huge effort that many make in the open source community. As a developer, I was rather apprehensive about switching, but after 3 months, I haven't looked back, and I don't miss ms-windows at all. I still run it in virtualbox for things like duplex printing and scanning on my Epson printer, but other than that KDE has come of age and is awesome!! Thanks, Peter |

@pritter: Please state your version of KDE. Unless you are using KDE 4.10.1 or later, it is probable you do not have all the fixes previously described in this thread. In which case, you need to update to see if those fixes correct your problem.
