Hello,
I have a Sabayon 8 up to date, with KDE 4.8 and Dolphin 2.0. Since I have switched to KDE 4.8 I've noticed some differences in Dolphn's customization options. One is I haven't found a way to display folders in Detail view mode without the expansion arrow anymore. Other is that my Folders panel is not synchronized with the current path of my selected view. Third, the services/actions that were in ~/.kde4/share/kde4/services/ need to be placed in ~/.kde4/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus/ The third one is the right way I guess, but the first two are pretty annoying. Is this intentional, for the first two issues? Is there anything to do to change this behavior? Thank you. |

Dolphin's view-engine got a rewrite in 2.0 so there are some missing functionality and possibly bugs. I would suggest that you search http://bugs.kde.org and see if it's has been reported, and if not, file a report.
Not sure if it's intended or not, you could always try to file a wishlist.
Can't reproduce. In which view mode? Do you mean when you click on the expansion arrows?

Sometimes it seems it looses the track. It doesn't happen all the time, indeed, and I don't expect to follow when I expand using the arrow, so I didn't look for that. |

It would be nice if you could find a way to reproduce it, otherwise it's very hard to fix (especially if the developers can't reproduce it themselves).

Regarding the arrow, I've eventually found it: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=289090
Regarding the navigation issue, after a restart it seems to work, but there are moments when something inside the plasma stops working and the directory monitoring fails too, meaning, if I have 2 instances of Dolphin in the same path, when I create/alter/delete something in that path, it is not reflected in the other Dolphin instance, unless I do a manual refresh (by F5 or menu). BTW, I have the nasty issue with usb device automatic mount - that crashes plasma. Could be related. |

I have a proof of one of the Dolphin's unsynchronized states, but I can't post images.
See the https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294875 attachment. |

Thanks for reporting it, apparently it's been fixed already.
