if you rename ~/.kde/share/config/phonondevicesrc it should be regenerated with the defaults
you could also compare your's to the new users that works |

Hi,
do you have pulseaudio? If so, install pavucontrol and select your channels there If not, what does

did you "rename ~/.config/kde.org/libphonon.conf" ?
with your kde session not running clear your kde cache /var/tmp/kdecache-user_name as there is a folder called "libphonon" |

Pavucontrol sees the mic, good news. Which phonon backend do you use? Try VLC.
BTW, what is your KDE version as your systemsettings - multimedia looks different to mine - I don't have the "audio hardware setup" tab.

The "Audio Hardware Setup" tab requires Pulseaudio to be in use on your system, and to be installed on your system at build time.
