Hi there,

I had a monitor plugged into my laptop. I used KDE's "Display Settings" control module to tell my laptop to use the monitor and disable my laptop screen. Then I took my laptop away with me, but... the screen is disabled, even after unplugging the monitor.

Does anyone know how I could reset my screen to default from the command line?

I assume the lcd/crt fn on the laptop doesn't work

Simply running this should fix it:

xrandr --auto

I had the exact same issue.

Using

Code: Select all

xrandr --auto

worked, but I had to launch the command from the blank screen.

I have yakuake installed so what I did was:

Wait for the KDE desktop to be ready
Press F12
Type the command and press enter
