kdewallet: multiple entry of password

Morning all,

after switching from KDE 4.6.5 to 4.8.3 I noticed that kdewallet asks a password for each service it starts - before I had to answer it only once. Can I configure this behaviour, or is this a bug?

This behaviour can be configured. Open System Settings > Account Details > KDE Wallet.
Uncheck "When last application stops using it" and check one of the other methods if you wish to. If you do not, it will never close except on logout or if you manually close it.

That fixes it, thanks.
Although it is still not logical (KMail is still open, and it asks for each account type (IMAP/POP3/SMTP), but anyway...
