New User

Wed May 23, 2012 9:33 pm
Hi I created new users and 2 things when they login it forces them to change the password ( it was created with one) then the change password doesn't function, when you enter it just sits there. I don't need to change passwords at the first login, can I turn that off?

thanks in advance

BTW Machine is LinuxMint 12 Standard (not KDE) with KDE full loaded on top.

Once logged in, you should be able to use the "passwd" command to change their password.
This is likely because your distribution tools have set the passwords to expire automatically on next login.

I am not sure why the change password function of KDE is not working.
