Disable paste with mouse scroll...

Sun Jul 29, 2012 6:03 am
Hi i'v been wondering can i turn off the option to paste text with the middle button of the mouse... or ar least to disabled it for some text editors like kate or kwrite? My problem is that my mouse is little bit broken and the middle button become very sensitive, it paste text when i want to sroll up or down.Tha happen to me on 3rd mouse allready. It's really hard to me to use text editor with this paste option... on other hand sometimes its helpful for example in konsole or web browser.
Thank you :)

Thank you :) in the future kde should add middle click options somewhere in behavior or input device's, this is a cool feature but not for guys with sensitive mouse's or developers, writers and etc.

Please post your idea in Brainstorm section here on forums. Otherwise, you have very little chance to see it happen.

Is there a way to have the mouse wheel scroll horizontally, like it use too?

Thanks.

Horizontal scrolling should be enabled automatically by X if supported.
How many buttons does your device expose to X?

You can use "xinput list" and "xinput get-button-map <id>" to find this out.
