Hi all,

I'm writing some C code (C89 standard, pedantic and so on) so it seems that C89 does not accept comments in "//" style.
Code: Select all
// This comment does not work in C89
/* This is ok */

So I would like to know if there is a way to tell Kate to always use "/*---*/" style comments when hitting ctrl-d.
In fact if I select some rows (using e.g. ctrl+down) and hit ctrl-d it automatically inserts "//" comments.
Thanks in advance,

Cristian

I'm not sure if it is related, but there appears to be settings related to highlighting and indentation for different file types, located at Editor Component > Open/Save > Modes & Filetypes in Kate's settings.
