Hi all. I have a habit of using Ditto clipboard manager (http://ditto-cp.sourceforge.net/) on Windows, and use a KVM to switch between my win and Linux boxes. The Ditto app has a network sharing feature for sending selected or all copies to other PCs. I would like to be able to share clipboard entries between Ditto and Klipper, and would like to know if it is feasible to attempt either:
a) Replicate Ditto's network sharing protocol in Klipper, or b) Implement a plugin interface in Klipper so that a Ditto specific interface can be created as an optional add-on. So, is there a plugin interface in Klipper already, or are there methods already available for sharing clipboard entries between Linux desktops? Would a network sharing feature for Klipper be an acceptable enhancement, if it was to implement the existing protocol and authentication methods used in Ditto? Regards, Les |

I do not know if Klipper has such a plugin interface, and you would probably have to talk to it's developer or maintainer to determine if such a feature request would be acceptable. Information on this is commonly available from Help > About <App Name> in KDE applications.
