Is it possible to have a click & paste action with klipper ? I would like to make the paste action faster.
Now i have to click on the entry in klipper and after to do a paste I use this program at work: http://ditto-cp.sourceforge.net/index.php and i'd like to find the same behaviour in kde |

why do you have to click on the entry in Klipper unless you are selecting the not current selection?

Yes it is for the case when you select another entry instead of the current one

Have you tried setting the "Open Klipper at Mouse Position" shortcut? While I doubt it provides the exact functionality you are after here, it is a little closer.

I'd like to bump this topic because I've run into the same exact need and couldn't find any way to achieve that with Klipper. It's very often that you're positioning your cursor to a specific place and would invoke Klipper to find and paste any selected string in the clipboard history.
IMHO, having to manually paste the selected string is a useless and time consuming task, especially when you're doing it 10 times a day or more. I'm not saying it should be by default, but at least having an option to enable it would be excellent. I'm not sure if it exists and I simply didn't understand how to enable it or if it's a feature request that I should make? Would anybody be able to shed some light here? |

I have never gotten warm with klipper either. Due to my lengthy absence in gtk land (my distro does not support kde) I found clipit (should be in your repos) a more than capable alternative. History is accessed with CTRL+ALT+H - then press the number in the history and voila, there it is. Never managed it in klipper. Could be my own stupidity of course...

I was using ClipIt with Unity/Gnome. Thing is, if I can avoid as many GTK apps as possible, that's preferable. Also, Klipper ships with Kubuntu, which is a +1.
