you can I believe use a blank password but then your wallet is not secure

the question is, does kwallet really offer any security? |

that's a different question, maybe for a new thread

http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kdeutils/ ... ntrol.html : "If you erroneously configured an application not to use the KDE KWallet Manager delete the policy for this application here. On the next start of this application you can define a new policy for access to the wallet." Does this help? |

Do you use a wireless network by any chance? If so, "KDE Daemon" in this instance might actually be Network Management, retrieving the password for your wireless network.
A workaround to this problem, if your Network Manager is new enough is to make your wireless connection a "system connection" which is then shared with all users (with the password being stored system wide as well - ie. not in KWallet).
