Hello!

Everytime I log in I get a running process in the system notification area. It is listed under "Transfers" and shows a network workload graph struck to 0 transfer speed. Pressing on the "pause" symbol has no effect. I cannot stop that tranfer as I don't no what process or transfer it refers to and I have no idea how to get that information ...

Please: Is there a log file or some other possibility to find out what that notification refers to - it is always started at login and is not going away what so ever ... how to handle this "ghost" transfer?

thx for reading,
piedro

This looks like a ghost transfer - does an application icon show regarding the transfer, or is a generic white document / nothing shown instead?
The usual fix for these is to stop them - which will get rid of them in most cases. In this case, you may need to remove the applet and add it back again.

Thx for your answer!

As it turned out, this disappeared when I fixed the connection beetween akonadi and my mysql server by adding "MYSQL_OPT_RECONNECT=1" to it's configuration in the akonadi configuration dialog. I couldn't confirm what exactly it was but it seemed to have something to do kaggregator.

Anyway: it's gone.

thx again,
