Hi everyone,
sorry if this has already been discussed - I've tried to google a bit and search inside the forum but came out with nothing.

I've just re-installed Debian Sid from scratch on a laptop, and it comes with KDE 4.10. Previously, I had Testing which is still on KDE 4.8. One of the first things I've tried to do is set the power management settings when it's running on AC power or battery. I've noticed, anyway, that profiles are not present anymore in systemsettings and I can't use anymore a different configuration for "AC power", "battery" and "low battery". I've read this document: http://docs.kde.org/stable/en/kde-works ... index.html and it says "This page has three tabs with predefined settings for On AC Power, On Battery and On Low Battery profiles.", but it's quite clear from the screenshot below that these tabs don't exist at all!
So, what I'm missing here? How can I have profiles back?

It appears that screenshot was taken from a desktop - which cannot offer the latter two options, due to a lack of a battery.
I see the three mentioned tabs on my system.

Based on this, i'm guessing KDE has not detected your computer battery. If you add the battery applet to your desktop, does it show any information?

Thank you for the tip. I didn't have my battery on (I usually remove it when I'm connected to AC power) so it didn't show all the options for battery and low battery. After putting the battery back in I had all the three tabs. Thank you!
