System Settings

Fri Nov 01, 2013 12:24 pm
Hi!

I have installed KDE 4.11.2 on FreeBSD.
In System Settings is "Desktop Search". On Basic Settings I have checked all three:
Desktop search services are active
File indexing service not running
Waiting for Nepomuk to start (0%). Percantage is sometimes higher but I never seen "Desktop Search" icon on my panel.
Nepomuk desktop search and Enable Mail Indexer have "Suspend" icon.
In "Indexing" I have check everything except Index source code and I don't use Backup.

Thank you.

This appears to be a problem with Nepomuk.
After logging in, please run the following command to ask Nepomuk to gracefully exit:
Code: Select all
qdbus org.kde.NepomukServer /nepomukserver quit

Once that has completed, and you have verified that no "virtuoso-t", "nepomukserver" or "nepomukservicestub" processes are running, try running the following in a terminal, and examine the output:
Code: Select all
nepomukserver &

Application '/usr/local/kde4/bin/nepomukstorage ' exited normally...

It doesn't work.

It shouldn't exit that quick - can you make sure all debug areas are enabled in "kdebugdialog" and retry the procedure please?
