Nepomuk is crippling our fileserver

Thu Nov 14, 2013 6:03 pm
Hi,

I have about 30 users with a lot of fluctuation that use the combination Gentoo Linux/KDE on their desktops. Until 4.10.8 there was the option to build the packages without Nepomuk. It's not there anymore and our fileserver is taking a major beating because Nepomuk indexes everything. Is there a way to disable it for good without asking every user to turn it off in System Settings? Where is that setting saved? I'd like to make it a part of the skeleton profile for new users and set it for the existing ones.

Thank you, that's what I've been looking for. I'll give it a try tomorrow.
