Hello,
Well, this is kinda simple really. When I put the computer in the suspend state with the built in sleep button networking refuses to work after resuming the system. However, when I use pm-suspend from a terminal everything is fine. Is it possible to configure the suspend button to use pm-suspend? I thought that the suspend button used pm-suspend? I have edited /etc/pm/config.d/modules to make pm-suspend work. The network card uses via-rhine. The Distro is Arch Linux using the latest stable KDE. Thanks for any suggestions. |

When KDE is asked to suspend the system, it asks the current backend it is using for power information, usually UPower, to suspend the system.
Therefore, it is UPower which is not correctly suspending the system. I'm not sure if it can be configured to use pm-suspend however.
