Hi,

as I understand a session should be saved when power button is pressed (with "End current session" in Session Management selected). For some reason it doesn't work since I moved to kubuntu 13.10 with KDE 4.11.2. Could someone write me some tip how to handle this problem? I'm attaching logs generated with commands":

Code: Select all
$ qdbus org.kde.kded /modules/powerdevil &> qdbus.log
$ kdebugdialog
select all and apply
$ kquitapp kded; sleep 3
$ kded4 --nofork &> kded.log

Does the system appear to go down gracefully, or does the desktop suddenly exit shortly after the power button is pressed?
If it goes down suddenly, then a system wide process has initiated the shutdown rather than KDE itself, which would explain why the session is not saved.
