Searching for \t [tab] in Kate

Tue Mar 18, 2014 2:01 pm
Hi,

is there an easy way to search for [tab] in Kate. The only way I found is to copy a tab from de text in the search box. In gedit you can search for \t and it's work.

Thanks

You need to use a regular expression search - which can be accessed from the Find/Replace function, or the shortcut Ctrl + R.

"Escape sequences" also works, when you just enter \t.

I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.
