Hello,
KDE 4.12.4 on Arch. In the options of the "Geräteüberwachung" (the plasmoid that shows the devices and usually lives in the systray) there is a topic "Geräteaktionen" (device actions) of which none can be deleted. Honestly I'm not used to be told be free software that something cannot be done if it's not technically impossible... How can I delete that options? EDIT: Should have queried a search engine before, there is an elderly bug report hanging around: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=276016 Best Regards.... |

Well, it _is_ actually possible. Copy the corresponding .desktop file(s) from /usr/share/kde4/apps/solid/actions/ (that's on openSUSE, it may vary slightly on Arch) to ~/.kde(4)/share/apps/solid/actions/ (you might have to create that folder(s) first). Then add a "Hidden=true" in the "[Desktop Entry]" section to hide them. (*.desktop files in ~/.kde/share override the system-wide ones in /usr/share) You could edit/delete the system-wide files as well of course, but they would likely get overwritten/recreated by updates. You might have to logout/login and/or run "kbuildsycoca4" for the change to take effect though. |

The Sycoca isn't used for these files - you will need to logout and back in again for the change to have any effect.
