Hello,
KDE 4.12.4 on Arch. In the options of the "Geräteüberwachung" (the plasmoid that shows the devices and usually lives in the systray) there is a topic "Geräteaktionen" (device actions) of which none can be deleted. Honestly I'm not used to be told be free software that something cannot be done if it's not technically impossible... ![]() How can I delete that options? EDIT: Should have queried a search engine before, there is an elderly bug report hanging around: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=276016 Best Regards.... |

Well, it _is_ actually possible. ![]() Copy the corresponding .desktop file(s) from /usr/share/kde4/apps/solid/actions/ (that's on openSUSE, it may vary slightly on Arch) to ~/.kde(4)/share/apps/solid/actions/ (you might have to create that folder(s) first). Then add a "Hidden=true" in the "[Desktop Entry]" section to hide them. (*.desktop files in ~/.kde/share override the system-wide ones in /usr/share) You could edit/delete the system-wide files as well of course, but they would likely get overwritten/recreated by updates. You might have to logout/login and/or run "kbuildsycoca4" for the change to take effect though. |

The Sycoca isn't used for these files - you will need to logout and back in again for the change to have any effect.
