Hi All,

I am using Ubuntu 12.04 Server with KDE desktop as a file server for my small business. I recently tried to revert a .DWG file to a previous version through nautilus and nothing happens when I click "revert to previous version" or "restore missing files". I am 100% sure the file has been changed and some files have been deleted.

I have used this before with great success and I have changed nothing on my system ( other then regular updates ). Has anyone else had this problem or know a fix for this?

Thanks in Advance!

What file system are you using? Normal linux file systems don't support revert functionality such as this.

My file system is ext2. I have used the revert function in conjunction with deja-dup in the past. I would just click "Restore previous version" and it would bring up a list of backup dates. I have deja-dup setup to perform a daily backup so it would list every day going back a month and I could just pick the date I wanted to restore from and it would restore it. I also have ubuntu-one (RIP) running to backup the backup off site.

deja-dup is an Ubuntu/Gnome app, you'd be best off asking on their forums about this
