Monitors & Displays no option to configure dual monitor?

I have dual monitors and want to extend the view of the desktop.

I have looked and damn-it, where is the monitor dual setup configuration in KDE 4.3...

In the systems Settings > Display & Monitor... the only options available are: screen locker and gamma Nothing on configuration of monitors ?

KDE 4.3? That is from prejurassic times... Methinks you'd do well to update your system as I cannot believe that there is a distro or even BSD out there with such old software.

I don't have dual monitors so I'm not gonna be able to help but you need to provide more info

what distribution are you running?

can I assume under another os/distro that dual monitors work?

and per Toad's suggestion update to something more current if possible

Sorry, new to this and very much so a newbie.

Linuxmint 17 RC with KDE Platform vs.4.13.0

Please let me know what else you need?

In short, I have two monitors that work with Linuxmint 17 Mate, I installed KDE and like it very much so, but can not get my desktop to extend to both monitors, the desktop is like mirror on both of same image?

Oh and system is up to date.

4.13 - sounds a lot better than 4.3 ;)

Do as google01103 suggested and install kscreen. Then fire up systemsettings - display and monitors and if you only see one of them, try and drag it to wherever. Likely that they are mirrored and although you only think there is one, they overlap exactly.
