Kate terminal not showing up

Sat Aug 16, 2014 4:58 pm
Hi all,

I installed Kate on a fresh install of fedora_19_Gnome. It works just fine, but the terminal isn't in the tools menu. There is no option to add it anywhere (I am pretty sure it should be in View > Tool Views. Right?). How should I proceed? (Yes, I have Konsole installed and kdebaseapps.)
Am I missing something?

I would really love to use Kate with the integrated terminal, as it is so much easier than anything else out there.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

in the plugins section of settings for Kate there is a "terminal tool view" option, is it checked?

You may need to install Konsole in order to enable this functionality.
