help with partitions

Fri Oct 10, 2014 9:15 pm
In order to go from ubuntu to kubuntu I had to install kubuntu on a partition. My plan was to install it on a partition and then delete the ubuntu partition and be left with one kubuntu partition. When I try to do this the partition manager doesn't want to cooperate. Everything is grayed out and I have no control. How can I fix this?

Please note that it may be easier to simply install 'kubuntu-desktop' on the Ubuntu system rather than doing a clean installation.
