I use KDE for several years and because of new hardware I decided to install KDE from scratch instead of moving the home folder. But I would like to move my aspell dictionaries. Where are they located?
I don't have etc/aspell.conf or ~/.aspell.conf and the *.rws files in var/lib/aspell are not updated after adding new words. I also can't find any .aspell.de_DE.pws with Krusader in the filesystem. |

OMG! And why say aspell config nothing like that?
Anyway, thanks a lot! It works fine. |

maybe distro specific as that folder and the .dic file seems to work properly for me
did the .dic file you copied contain what you think should have been there? did you also copy the .exc (which was empty)? no idea why it would matter here's what I did to find that file: - I logged into my test account which was pretty much a new & empty account - I opened Kate added a word I knew wouldn't be in a dictionary, ran spell check and added the word to the dic - then using Kfind I did a contents search for the word in ~/.config and in ~/ (using Baloo should also work) |

On my old installation (with Nepomuk und Strigi) the content search doesn't work and I just figured out that it now works fine with Baloo. So I tried to find "modified some minutes ago" but I didn't know how. Thanks again! |

do a contents search for a the word you recently added to the dictionary
if you want to do a time based search use Kfind and the properties tab I don't think Baloo will search hidden folders unless you are in that folder when you start the search |
