Hey,
after the recent KDE 4.14.3 update I'm missing sensors in my "Sensor Browser" in System Monitor: However I still have them in the system:
How can I add these to the Sensor Browser? |

what *sensor* packages do you have installed?
guessing (as not a *buntu person) you might be missing libqtsensors4 I (again as not a *buntu person) guess you'd need the following packages: libsensors4, libqtsensors4, lm-sensors and sensord |

Yes, I have all the appropriate sensor packages installed here. Also as you can see in the screenshot some sensors are already available. But I'm missing some, specifically fan 1,3,5 and temps.

2 possibilites:
1) there's an issue with one of your account's ksysguard related files if so rename ~/share/.kde/config/ksysguardrc and ~/.kde/share/apps/ksysguard/, you can also test this as a new user 2) something needed by ksysguard isn't installed or wasn't installed correctly if so then reinstall all relevant packages listed on this page, minimally ksysguard, libksgrd4 and libqtsensors4 |

Ok, I checked 1) and 2) no difference so far...
But may I ask you, if you do this: 1. Run sensors-detect in terminal (requires root) 2. run sensors 3. note that list 4. start ksysguard (System Monitor) 5. File -> New Tab 6. Check the Sensor Browser, every sensor reported by "sensors" should be available in that list! Then you see all sensors from "sensors" in the "Sensor Browser"? |

sensors only detects temps on my motherboard and they show in ksysguard
did you try as root ? close ksysguard, then run kdebudialog -> deselect all -> search for ksysguard -> check ksysguard -> ok, then start ksysguard and look at the tail end of ~/.xsession-errors - anything sensors related show? |

Which version did you update from? There have not been any changes in KSysGuard in a long time - so it is probable that another change elsewhere caused the issue.

@google01103:
You mean ksysguard as root? I just tried no change, also no entries in xsession-errors @bcooksely: I updated from 4.13 and yeah I already thought so, too. I posted now on my distro forum too, if they have the same error... |

Can you please use kdebugdialog to enable debug output? Then try to start ksysguard from the terminal again.
