Are there any good tools for WebDAV syncing? Dolphin supports WebDAV, but I need more than just manual copying. I.e. some syncing tools for that.

You can use Kontact and have Akonadi handle WebDAV. I stick with Tunderbird. Both work well.

Are you sure you aren't mixing it with CalDAV? WebDAV is remote filesystem protocol, i.e. it provides an abstraction of network directory which you can mount (it functions through HTTPS). My question was about some tools which are built on top of that with syncing capablities. I.e. imagine I mounted that location from two computers, and modified some file on one, then synced those changes to the server. So in the other location I should be able to sync them to the local storage. I.e. similar to Dropbox sync client and so on. I didn't see anything of that sort in Kontact or Thunderbird. |

Of course I got it mixed up! Was doing CalDAV all day so as soon as I read DAV my mind was only going to go one way... Sorry.
What is it you got? I suppose not OwnCloud?

Mykolab. They offer WebDAV access to the storage, which works with Dolphin for manual operations. But some syncing client can make it more useful. |

Why not use their client - https://mykolab.com/clients ?
Alternative would be rsync with a chron job.

They propose to use Kontact. But Kontact has no such functionality. I can use rsync, but I need to figure out how to mount WebDAV to regular filesystem first. Didn't try it yet. Plus some GUI with showing what changed / confirming syncs can be useful as well. UPDATE: OK, found it. It's mount.davfs from davfs2 package (at least in Debian testing). |
