Screen shouldn't lock, but does

Tue Feb 03, 2015 12:38 pm
I did a fresh install of Kubuntu 14.10 a few days ago, I have made some cosmetic changes, and installed some normal software, Chrome (from ppa), Krusader etc..., nothing unusual, and all from Synaptic. I have done nothing by cli, or downloading any .tar, or .deb or anything. I have also made no system changes by cli, and only cosmetic from the System Settings screen. However despite having the Power Manager set to never go to sleep, and to never lock the screen, every time I let the pc sit for more than 10 minutes I come back and have to hit the power key to wake up the system, and then unlock the screen. It just started this, For the first three days, when I could let it sit over night and then come back in the morning, and just move the mouse and I was immediately on the desktop. I did have a update yesterday morning, I wonder if that could have changed something. I am including a snapshot of my Power settings, so you can see what I have set. If you need any other information, I'll be glad to get it to you. I just don't understand what changed that made it suddenly start locking, and going to sleep, because I didn't make any changes that would lead to that happening.

Edit: OK, I didn't notice that the log in page had changed, until I restarted today because of an update. The entire KDE log in graphics has been changed. It's kind of a bluish, screen with what looks like half a pie, that has already been cut into sizes, at the top of the screen. It's just a completely different boot up graphic display, it doesn't at look like KDE. I have no idea what's happened, I hope I don't have to reinstall again.
