App finder from XFCE4

Thu Feb 26, 2015 10:19 pm
Hi
I use Kubuntu 14.10 in French and did find accidentaly an app unknow from me until yet with the name that I did write under subject!

And I did discover really a GREAT AMONG of app's being installed in my system but totaly new for me xD !

The reason is that I did mark in «tasksel» as I did install Kubuntu 14.04 (14.10 is an version upgrade) KDE of course (and I use only KDE) but also Ubuntu studio's for graphic design, photo, sound, video etc., and Ubuntu did install xfce4 usw and more...

Different from usual KDE-menu, a really poor thing, app finder seems to know ALL APP'S including some from WINE: All KDE-App's, all app's managed by the Debian menu, all registered wine app's, all the stuff!

a/ How to activate this knowledge base in the own Kubuntu menu or better interchange it (if needed, erase the KDE-button «K» and remplace it by a App-finder button at the same place in the bar?

b/ How to install app finder without the all XFCE4 I don't at all (in a second partition, I have DEBIAN SID with really only KDE in it!) to operate with the same tools in both partitions?

If you hit Alt-F2, Krunner will slide down. Have you tried it?
